Projjal "Business" Chakrabarti
A generalist with experience in several fields of game development: game design, coding, 3D modelling, digital art, sound, UI and UX. Holds a BSc in Computer Science with Game Development from the University of Hull. Has been working in the game industry for nearly nine years. In his nine years in the business, Projjal has worked on a wide variety of projects including PC games, mobile games, multiplayer games, educational games, augmented reality apps, graphic design and promotional videos. At BYJU's, Projjal was part of the core team that designed and developed learning games for children.
Raisa Elizabeth Bastian A.K.
With over 5 years of experience in graphic design and game design, Raisa brings an unusual mix of visual storytelling and game design to the team. With a master’s degree in Digital Game Design from the National Institute of Design and a degree in Visual Arts and Painting, Raisa specializes in game design with a strong narrative core. At BYJU’S, she was the designer behind the visual design of the Disney BYJU’S Early learn app, working with visual designers from Disney to create a virtual world that used all the Disney and Pixar
characters in the same cohesive space – the first time in the world any educational app has managed to pull this off.
Videep Vijay Kumar
A digital media professional with over
12 years of experience in the entertainment
and games industries, with a particular
interest in competitive gaming and eSports. In 2008, he was part of the core team which
conceptualised Blur, India’s largest multi-platform gaming experience where his former experience as a competitor proved invaluable when Blur hosted the national qualifiers and grand finals for the India leg of the World Cyber Games in 2009/10. He is also a published writer on games and technology, having written for major online and print
publications including The New Indian Express, The Hindu, The Times of India, FirstPost, ESPNcricinfo and Digit Magazine.
A game designer, writer and creative director with over 22 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He’s worked in billion dollar companies such as Zynga, Hike Messenger and BYJU’S as well as smaller independent studios. He has led design on some of the world’s most valuable social games like Mafia Wars, Yoville, Fishville, Hidden Chronicles, Hidden Shadows - with a combined lifetime peak DAU of 10 million players. He’s shipped over 20 mobile titles, including Dadi vs Jellies, the Game of The Year at India Game Developer Conference 2015.
An educator and play designer with 10 years of experience designing playful products and learning experiences for young children. While working with leading children’s media and research organizations like Sesame Street, Disney and IBM Research, Mourvi has been involved in the design, production and delivery of diverse projects like Disney’s first official foray into learning games, bringing Sesame Street to the radio for rural Indian audiences, a research partnership on using AI for vocabulary learning between IBM and Sesame Street and many more.
A designer and storyteller with a passion and flair for design and storytelling. She was part of the leadership on the design team that worked closely with Disney to create the Disney -BYJU’S Early Learn product. Bhamini’ s ability to balance both creative and product needs comes from her inter -disciplinary academic background - she holds a Masters in Media and Cultural Studies from the Tata Institute of Social
Sciences, Mumbai, and earned her BA Honours in Economics from St . Stephen's College, Delhi. Thus she not only understands how to tell stories using multiple media, but also that numbers can tell stories
